The Alzheimer's Society's Roadshow will be in Newport on the Wednesday, April 18 at The Square, Newport (just outside the Market Hall) to help raise awareness about dementia in Newport.
It would be wonderful if you could just pop by at some point during the day, just to say hello and show your support. Give them a wave! Go and have a chat!
They will be in town between 10am and 4pm.
Receiving a timely dementia diagnosis and accessing post-diagnosis support is crucial to enable people with dementia and their carers to live well. With more than 800,000 people living with dementia in the UK, Alzheimer's Society’s Roadshow is a vital step in helping to reach out to local communities and offer much-needed information and advice to those who are worried about their own, or someone else's, memory. Anyone with questions about dementia are encouraged to drop by, with no appointment necessary.
Having launched in 2011, the Roadshow has already made a big difference to the lives of people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, reaching over 200,000 people in the seven years it has been on the road.
We hope you will be able to visit our event on April 18 where there will be an opportunity to speak to local Alzheimer's Society staff and find out more about the Roadshow and the other work we do to support people with dementia.
Newport, Shropshire is a Dementia Friendly Town with over 135 local businesses and organisations in support.
