Only a few days to go and The Nocturne will be back here in Newport, Shropshire on Saturday 18th August. It’s Back, bigger and better than ever!
Come along and experience pro level cycle racing under floodlights, like you have never seen it before…on the cobbled streets of Newport. Riders (Male and female) race a closed circuit in the historic market town only inches from spectators, up close and personal…, bring your family and friends as the event has something for everyone. It’s fast, it’s furious and it’s free with an awesome atmosphere that should give a memory that will last a lifetime.
The Nocturne has attracted some major brands in sponsorship, Global cycle brand Schwalbe Tyres, one of the biggest global brands in cycling with their UK headquarters based in Telford have been announced as the headline sponsor for this this years Nocturne.
Hatfields Jaguar and Land Rover have signed up as one of the primary sponsors and supplier of the lead cars for the men’s elite race. They will have a display setup on the day.
Galliers Homes are sponsoring the inaugural access event ‘Ride the Course’. This is a community ride and a fantastic opportunity for anyone to come and ride around the closed road circuit in advance of the racing programme. Ideal for families to experience the atmosphere and cycle the same route that World and Olympic champions will be competing on later. This however, is a more sedate ride and anyone with a roadworthy bike and helmet (compulsory) will be allowed to ride round the circuit.
This year Nock Deighton Estate Agents will be providing the Lead car for the Supersprint event, as well as sponsoring the ‘King of the Sprints’ competition.
