Exhibition on new housing proposals for Newport

Author | 27 November 2014

Telford & Wrekin Council and developer St. Modwen are inviting residents and local businesses to a public exhibition to view plans for a high quality new housing development to the south east of Newport. Designed to complement the surrounding area, the new development off Station Road would include housing suitable for families, first time buyers and older people as well as providing affordable homes.

The exhibition will be held 4.30pm – 7.30pm on Monday 8 December at Cosy Hall, Water Lane, Newport, and will provide local people with the opportunity to view the plans, find out more information and share their feedback. The proposals will also be available online from 8 December at www.stationroad-newport.co.uk

Councillor Charles Smith, cabinet member for Housing, Development and Borough Towns, said: “Providing residents with good quality housing is a key priority for Telford & Wrekin Council.

“It’s really important to us that the local community is involved in shaping the emerging proposals. The event on 8 December is a great chance for residents to find out more about the plans, meet the team and share their comments.”
