A local firm of financial advisers was recently recognised by a leading industry network and treated to a trip of a lifetime to the summit of Mont Blanc in the French Alps.
Two members of the team at Newport-based Carl Summers Financial Advisers were successful in defeating around 1,800 other financial consultants from Openwork, one of the UK’s largest mortgage and financial advice network, to win one of only six places on the expedition.
Carl Summers, Partner at Carl Summers Financial Services, and Fiona Kilburn, an Adviser specialising in mortgages and protection, were recognised by Openwork for the extent of quality advice provided to clients, covering life cover, business protection, and critical illness cover, across its county-wide client portfolio.
The firm’s success saw Carl embark on a two-day helicopter trip to Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, where he was presented with a commemorative pen at the peak’s summit.
