Artworx Gallery Enjoys Launch Party Success

Author | 21 August 2013

Since their move from Cannock to Newport in July, Artworx Gallery have been overwhelmed with the fantastic response and support from Newport locals. To celebrate the relocation and welcome collectors, the gallery recently opened its doors on the evening of 20th August for an official launch party. Visitors were welcomed to the latest fine art from the country’s top artists including the naïve family orientated pastelsby Doug Hyde; tactile mixed media originals by Welsh artist Kerry Darlington; and even seductive portraits by Argentinian artist Fabian Perez, amongst other British and international artists on display.

Gallery Manager, Ashley Corrigan went onto say, “The people of Newport have truly made us feel welcome. It was fantastic to see such a brilliant turn out for our Launch Party and I would like to thank everyone who made it.”

Mayor Cllr Tony Forrester and Newport Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Patrick Beech also attended the event to cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially mark the opening of Artworx Gallery in Newport.

The next event on the Artworx Gallery calendar will be hosting an evening in September with Tim Cotterill, The world famous Frogman sculptor. British born artist, Tim Cotterill who creates stunning bronze frog sculptures from his California based studio, will be visiting the gallery to meet collectors on Tuesday 17th September between 6pm – 8pm. Contact the gallery direct on 01952 820397 or email Ashley ashley@artworx.co.uk, for invitations.
