A new Shropshire based company aims to inspire you to take on a new outdoor adventure.
Breese Adventures in Newport, who launched their new website this week, work with individuals, charities, groups and schools to provide walking and trekking events throughout the UK. If you’re looking for a professional guide for an individual trek, a group adventure to celebrate a special occasion or a challenge for your favourite charity they will help you chose the right events for you and tailor them to create your dream outdoor adventure.
Started in 2012 by Tracey and Stiwart Breese the husband and wife team have combined Tracey’s event management and fundraising experience with Stiwart’s passion for and knowledge of the mountains of the UK, Europe and Africa. Describing their motivation for starting Breese Adventures Stiwart, who moved to the area from Wales 3 years ago, said “We found from our own experience that there are just not enough opportunities in the West Midlands for people to get out and enjoy the great outdoors,escape day to day pressuresor do something different”. “We also found that there are too many people who don’t get out there because they don’t know where to start or have anybody to go with. We want to make it easier for them by making sure they have a qualified experienced guide with them, provide transport and a group of like-minded people for them to go with”. Breese Adventures work with a handful of guides who are all qualified and knowledgeable and there to help you gain new experiences, develop new skills and have fun.
No stranger to outdoor challenges themselves, having recently completed 14 peaks in 12 hours for their Honeymoon Challenge, Stiwart and Tracey have chosen a range of events aimed at every level. Tracey said “We have made sure that our events are accessible to everyone, particularly beginners who have never taken on an outdoor challenge before.We were beginners once and we know how hard it can be to get started but it’s worth it! You will get friendly advice and support to guide you through choosing or designing your own event, training, equipment, fundraising and much more”.
“Breese Adventures was born out of a love for the outdoors and the mountains. It’s an amazing feeling to stand at the top of a mountain but each person you ask will describe it differently so you need to experience it for yourself. Our favourite part is being able to introduce you to places you never thought you would see and challenges you never thought you could achieve. It’s lovely to see you go home with lots of memories, achievements and even some new friends”.
