Newport author Jane Noble Knight recently published her very first book called The Inspiring Journeys of Women Entrepreneurs: Exploring New Ways of Business That Answer Your Calling. In January 2010 Jane discovered the 'unsung' Pilgrim Mothers who left Britain for the US on the Mayflower in 1620 in pursuit of independence, freedom of speech and a New World. Whereas the Pilgrim Fathers are known and celebrated, the amazing story of the Pilgrim Mothers has been hidden and virtually lost in history. This injustice set Jane off on a quest to tell both their story and the stories of other incredible women pioneers, past and present, which might otherwise never be known.
The result is this first book in The Inspiring Journeys series. Jane's private launch party was held on 12 February at the home of Secret Millionaire Dawn Gibbins in Congleton, Cheshire. Jane's book features a chapter each on 9 successful women entrepreneurs (including Dawn who was the youngest person to receive an MBE for services to British industry). The other 8 entrepreneurs are: Rachel Elnaugh from the first two series of Dragons' Den; Carry Somers whose company Pachacuti is the world's first Fair Trade Certified Organisation; Gina Lazenby, Founder of Women Gathering Project and Co-Founder of the Feng Shui Society UK; Stephanie J Hale, Founder of Millionaire Bootcamp for Authors; Gill Fielding, Secret Millionaire and Property Investor; Penny Power, Founder of Ecademy, the first online social network for businesses; Katharine Dever, an intuitive business mentor; and Marie-Claire Carlyle, best-selling Hay House author.
In her Foreword to the book Bev James, CEO of the Academy Group, calls these women "brave, bold trailblazers." She goes on to write, "Their fascinating stories reveal not only their talent for business, but also their road to personal authenticity and an inner belief that their mission was to 'give something back' to others along the way.

Jane was delighted to see her book become an Amazon UK bestseller in the Business & Finance and Entrepreneurship categories. She is now spreading the word about the book through speaking engagements and is already looking forward to publishing her second book on 23 July.
