In May 1999 Jude Paton with her love of music set up Hey Jude's Music stall, it was launched in Newport Indoor Market with the love and support of Roy Hodges and a dear friend Chris Wright.
Occupying just a small corner of a single market stall Hey Jude's quickly grew out of this space and expanded into a larger stall at the indoor market hall. Through hard work and enthusiasm for all that is music, supporting local musicians and the Navy Club Open Mic nights, it all paid off.
After 18 years trading at the Indoor Market, In 2017 Hey Jude’s opened her own shop and now occupies the premises at 3 Stafford Street, Newport the musical instruments, vinyl records, memorabilia and much more is spread over 2 floors, just up the road from the Market.
Jude said ‘ I would like to thank all my very dear friends and family who made it all possible. You know who you are. And of course to all my loyal customers over the last 20 years.’ Open Tuesday to Saturday and still rockin' and rollin'!
