Forton Nursery was first established in 1972 and is sited at the Parish Hall in the village of Forton. Forton is situated east of the market town Newport, Shropshire. Here at Forton we take great pride in delivering learning opportunities that will not only give children an experience to remember but lifelong skills.

Our nursery is surrounded by a beautiful rural setting in which we enjoy forest school walks with the children where they can explore nature in all its glory. We have a great relationship with our local Forton church where we enjoy visits to regularly to read stories, exploring festivities.

We have a large outdoor area where we can often be found growing plants, flowers and hunting for creepy crawlies! Our main room has a variety of areas for children to explore, including maths, mark making, role play, construction, creative and messy play area. We also have a quiet area for reading with cosy cushions for children to relax when it all gets too much fun! We also adventure into our imaginative shed where children can be free to take on roles and develop their social skills and understanding of the world.

Opening times are from 8am until 5.00pm Monday to Friday. We offer summer school for 2 weeks in August and we welcome siblings to come and join in the fun. Please come down and say hello! We have an open-door policy however feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
