ParkThat Bike

Telford & Wrekin Council have said if you have

visitors, customers or staff who arrive by bike, and

you are a business, voluntary sector group or public

service organisation, you may be eligible for free

bike racks.

There’s lots of different types of racks available

from the standard ones you see in town centres to

bars to screw to the wall to planters incorporating

rails to secure bikes. You can apply online at

www.

parkthatbike.info

- Telford & Wrekin Council is one

of the 4 initial areas to sign up.

SnowWardens

Telford & Wrekin Council Our are looking for

volunteer SnowWardens to help clear pathways and

smaller roads in and around their neighbourhoods.

Clearing pathways and roads in neighbourhoods

can be a lifeline to those who are unable to clear

the areas for themselves. Volunteering as a Snow

Warden in your neighbourhood doesn’t take up

much of your time – just the time it takes to

shovel snow off a nearby path or road and sprinkle

with salt. All our volunteer SnowWardens are

provided with a training pack, hi-vis vests, snow

shovel and supply of salt ready for the arrival of

the white stuff.

To be a SnowWarden you will need access to a

mobile phone or the Internet to receive weather

information and alerts during periods of extreme

weather. If you are interested in becoming a

SnowWarden click here or email
