On stage with X Factor and Big Brother
Telford’s Musical Theatre Production Company’s Deborah Owen was asked
to direct “Peter Pan” staring X Factor finalist Christopher Maloney and Big
Brother’s Nikki Graham in Northwich Cheshire this panto season.
Deborah took two leading ladies from her academy
to star alongside the two celebrities. Both former
Burton Borough students from Muxton played the
parts of Wendy (Micheala Garrow) and Tiger Lilly
(Alice Plant).
Nikki played the funny and mischievous Tinkerbell
and Chris played an excellent Captain Hook. They all
performed 33 performances for “Strictly Productions”
run by former Thomas Telford student Ben Anderson
who rose to success this pantomime season
producing three pantomimes in Barrow, Northwich
and Leatherhead.
All Shows played to sell out audiences and were
a massive success. Deborah who also stared in the
pantomime said she is “delighted to give her local
students these professional experiences” and she is
“proud that they rose to the occasion tremendously”.
Deborah has appeared in Shrewsbury and
Oakengates Theatre pantomimes from the age of
10 and says “It important that all he MTPC students
experience all aspects of performing if they wish to
further their career” said Deborah. Alice and Micheala
have recently acted on the set of the forthcoming
new series of “Home Fires” due to air later in the year.
