On February 25, legendary Beatle George Harrison

would have celebrated his 73rd birthday. By way of

tribute, BMG Rights Management releases George

Fest: A Night To Celebrate The Music Of George

Harrison.

Recorded and filmed at the The Fonda Theater in Los

Angeles on September 28th, 2014, it is produced by

David Zonshine and George’s son, Dhani Harrison.

Dhani said: “I’ve always imagined a small club show

where my generation of musicians could cut loose

on some of the deeper tracks from his career.”

The line up includes Beach Boy Brian Wilson, Nora

Jones, TV chat show host Conan O’Brien, The Flaming

Lips, Ben Harper, Britt Daniel from Spoon, Heart’s

Ann Wilson, Dhani Harrison, “Weird Al” Yankovic, The

Strokes’ Nick Valensi, Perry Farrell among others.

In addition to the concert footage, the DVD has

interviews withmusicians backstage and at rehearsals

talking about George’s influence on their careers.
