Thinking of a new website or
updating your old one?
Get your website wrong and it could cost time and money to put it right.

at a few of the elements that the general industry
consensus feel makes a good site and the questions
you should consider before and when engaging a
website designer/developer or building your own:
1. What do you want your website to do?
Inform? Sell your product/service? Educate?
Gather contact details? Create a community?
One, two or possibly all of the above may wish to be
achieved.
Creating a visual sitemap, a layout of pages and
sections you would like on your site before you start
building the website. This can do wonders for your
website structure.
If you know what pages you may need initially and
where they will link to, you can plan the content
ahead.
2. What are the legal requirements for
your website?
You are legally required to show the following
information on your website, preferable in the base
section on every page, not just on one.
