3. Logos and Branding
Ensure you keep to your corporate colours, use the
same online as you do offline, keeping continuity
is vital for a sustained image and to avoid a mixed
message. Your logo is one of the most important
aspects of your website as it’s what people will
recognize and hopefully remember you for. Therefore,
it may be worth considering paying to have a good,
memorable logo created for your brand.
4. Pictures, Videos and text
Pictures and now videos can play a real part in your
website design; use good quality photographs that
tell the story of your product/service. People or
animals work well in advertising/publicity.
E.g. The brand ‘Hovermower’ do you remember the
adverts on TV? This commercial showed a very small,
slim lady in a summer skirt and T-shirt with flat, slipper
like shoes using the mower. This says very easy to
operate, no effort needed, light and quick. Always
think about the pictures and videos you use and the
stories they tell.
