Edgmond Village Hall
Raised £927 for the upkeep of the village hall. A big

Lilleshall Monumental 10k
Newport & District Running Club proudly present
the Lilleshall Monumental 10k to be held on Sunday
17 April 2016 – Fun Run starts at 10.15am;
10K race starts at 11.00am. Prizes and refreshments
available. This year’s event will be chip-timed for

Shampoochi, in St. Mary’s Street, Newport should
be opening their doors to this new dog grooming
parlour, early February.
Newport’s Nova FMNeeds You!!!
Newport’s community radio station Nova FM is
looking to raise funds using Crowd Funding. This
project aims to raise £5000.00 for essential day to
day running costs which include rent, insurance,
licenses to play music (PPL and PRS), equipment
repairs and more.

High Street fund
Telford & Wrekin Council is set to award 21
projects a share of its £1m grant fund to help
boost business and attract more people to the
high streets in nine key areas of the borough.
The fund is split into different pots - £800,000
for applications to the Revitalise Fund aimed at
increasing the prosperity of specified High Streets
and Local Centres and a £200,000 Innovation Fund
for new activities and cultural events.
Revitalise Fund:
• Newport Town Team –
Innovation & Enterprise Centre. Encouraging
start ups, developing tourism offer, renovation of
derelict Toll House building: £88,500, • Good2Great
business support package for retail traders in
Newport: up to £11,500.
Innovation Fund:
• Newport Town Team –
An Eventful Town collaborative projects for
community and voluntary groups: £20,000.
