The game makers at Disney are at it again, launching
the third version of its popular Infinity range. Disney
Infinity first hit the shelves in 2013 as a competitor
to the popular Skylanders series of games. Infinity
allows players to place colourful figurines of popular
cartoon and movie characters onto a base that puts
the character into the game to play on the screen.
It proved to be a reasonable hit and spawned a
sequel based on the Marvel Comics franchise that
Disney had acquired. Well, seeing as how Disney
now owns Lucasfilm, Star Wars was always going to
be suited to the same treatment. So, here we have
it, Disney Infinity 3.0, launching as a starter pack
with Star Wars characters and playable scenes from
Lucas’s vast universe. In the pack you will find the 3.0
game disc, 3.0 base on which to place figures, a Star
Wars Twilight of the Republic play set piece and web
codes.
The starter pack also comes with two figures, Anakin
Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, familiar to younger fans

animated Clone Wars TV series.
Further figures and play set pieces are available,
with characters including Darth Vader, Han Solo and
Chewbacca. There are also new Marvel and Disney/
Pixar figures being released for the update.
