Dressmaking courses and workshops

Weekly/Monthly Event

Dressmaking courses run on Thursday mornings 10.00am to

12.30pm and Thursday evenings 7.30 - 9.30pm at Cosy Hall,

Newport. Courses last for 6 weeks. Monthly Sewing on Saturday;

Edgmond Toddler Group, Edgmond Village Hall

Weekly/Monthly Event

Every Thursday in term time 10.00 - 11.30am. Lots of toys for pre-

school children and babies, craft activities, songs and snack time.

Refreshments for adults. £1.50 for first child and 50p extra for each

additional child. New faces always welcome.

Every Thursday afternoon 2.30-4.30pm. £3.00 buys a pot of tea or

The Midlands Rat Club (MRC) is the area’s club for fancy rat lovers,

pet rat owners and breeders. Fancy rat shows are held every two

Newport Toy Library

Weekly/Monthly Event

Every Friday Morning at the Cottage Care Centre. £2 a year

membership, toys to borrow from 10p per week. For the under

5s we have outdoor ride on tractors, cars, trikes and bikes, slides,

trampolines, shape sorters, electronic toys and stairgates.

Scarecrow Festival & Trail

5 & 6 September 2015

- Weekend full of fun and events

for the family. Held in the of villages of Moreton, Outwoods

& Bromstead. 10am - 4pm.

Villagers are creating scarecrows representing film and cartoon

characters. A trail for children and adults around the villages to see

55+ scarecrows. Enjoy classic cars, vintage tractors and military

tanks and miniature fairground organ. Refreshments and Toy &

Craft fair at the Millennium Community Centre (TF10 9DS). Free

entry in the Centre to an evening of music with Vinyl Tap.
