Llandudno Lions
Boxing Day Dip 2105
About:
Rick Tablot, District Officer
for Gnosall Lions, set out in a
moment of madness to raise both
awareness and money for a rare
condition called HAE (Hereditery
Angio Oedema. A condition that
has affected myself and my family
over the years and to which my
granddaughter had also recently
been diagnosed.
After driving the 105 miles to
Llandudno, ‘The day itself was
wonderful given that the weather
was vile’ says Rick. It was then
‘into the hotel, booked in with
the organisers, Llandudno Lions,
a quick change into my Lion Suit
a quick coffee, joining the parade
of fellow dippers parading around
the hotel meeting up with our
fellow Lion friends from North
Wales, including 2nd Vice DG
Theresa Nickson and supporters
from Buckley and Mold Lions en
route’.
‘As the result of my endeavours I
should like to thank all fellow Lions
Clubs, fellow Lions and friends and
family for their support as up to
present I have raised an amazing
£1800 for HAEUK’ said Rick.
