Orchard talent makes master chef!
Staff at ‘The Orchard’ have been celebrating the recent success of
chef de partie Charlotte Fenney who creates the wonderful desserts on
the menu at the restaurant.
Charlotte who has worked with head chef Peter
Roberts for eighteen months in the company’s
other business ‘Call in The Caterers’ represented the
catering company in the Staffordshire Master-chef
competition making it through to the final eight
young chefs.
Charlotte had to suggest a three course menu and
then cook it within a set time, just like the TV show
in the kitchens at Stafford College. The team were
delighted when she was awarded a tight second
place for the hygiene award and came third overall in
the county young chef of the year.
She was presented a platter, a certificate and a cash
prize for her menu which contained elements from
the Orchard’s summer menu. Charlotte is the second
talented chef that has made it to this advanced stage
of the competition with Peter as her mentor.
