Local accountant expands into Newport
12 years after setting up TaxAssist Accountants in Shrewsbury to provide
specialist tax and accountancy services to the local business community,
Nigel Lomax is expanding, opening a second office in Newport.
Nigel set up TaxAssist Accountants on Sundorne
Avenue in Shrewsbury in 2003 and now his nine-
strong team look after around 600 local businesses
and taxpayers. In response to growing demand for
specialist tax and accountancy in the area, Nigel
decided the time was right to open a second office
to offer Newport clients (old and new) a more
convenient location to meet.
“We have a number of clients in and around Newport
already and demand for our services continues
to grow,” said Nigel. “We’ve been thinking about
opening a second office for a while, but now seems
the perfect time. The new office on the High Street in
Newport will give Newport-based clients a far more
convenient place to visit us.”
TaxAssist Accountants is looking to recruit a new team
member to help support the new Newport office.
TaxAssist Accountants in Shrewsbury and Newport is
a local business itself, providing tax and accountancy
advice and services to around 600 owner-managed
businesses. Nigel is part of the UK’s largest network of
accountants specialising in this field.
