The Granary Art Gallery at Weston Park will be hosting the Yorkshire artist Joss Cole’s solo exhibition ‘There is Another Sky’ throughout November.
Joss will bring an exciting display of watercolour paintings to the walls of the Granary Art Gallery, with his loose and relaxed style of painting.
Cole’s paintings are often inspired by snippets of text or poetry – with Emily Dickson shaping his work on display at Weston Park. For his exhibition in the Granary Art Gallery, he has chosen to focus on what poet Emily Dickson calls a ‘brighter garden’, with paintings of parks, fields, trees, plants and people.
Julieanne McMahon, Curatorial and Learning Administrator at Weston Park says “we are thrilled to be exhibiting Joss Cole’s artworks in the Granary Art Gallery. As an emerging young artist his works are beautifully rhythmic and deeply rooted in poetry and the natural world.”
The exhibition will be on show to visitors from the 28th October – 30th November 2017.
The Granary Art Gallery is open every day 11am – 4pm and is free entry.
