what's happening on the day
Newport High Street will be closed on Sunday 5th June from Wellington Road junction with the High Street down to the Stafford Road mini roundabout from 10am until 5pm for a Jubilee Street party. People are invited to come along with their own tables, chairs and food and set up on the high street between those hours.
We have The Ronnies a quartet of singers who will be entertaining us with tunes throughout the Queens reign at 2pm and 3.15pm and hopefully some open Mic performers from the Naval Club also to create a party atmosphere to celebrate this special occasion.
If you are involved with any youth organisations please come along and do activities in relation with these celebrations. This invite is to all organisations not just youth but established organisations that are set up in Newport, this will be a good opportunity to chat with different people about what is going on in Newport and encourage people to get involved as we have an enormous amount of new houses and people moving into Newport, lets welcome them and hopefully get them involved in our wonderful town of Newport. Ideas or suggestions would be welcome.
Let’s all make an effort and dress up in red white and blue and show our support, come on Newport lets make this a day to remember.
