The Newport St George's day committee are to hold their 12th St George’s day celebrations in Newport High Street on Saturday 18th April 2026
The day is a free event which includes Starting at 10am until 4pm
Saturday 18th April.
From 10.00 am.
Street Entertainment:
Balloon modeller
Pavement chalk art
Live DJ
Punch and Judy shows: 10:30am & 11:30am
Morris dancers: 11:00am & approximately 12:30pm
Newport Community Library
Face painting
Make-your-own flags activity
From 12pm. Procession and dragon slaying. (Road closed 11.45am to 1pm.)
Free event. Come on down!
Entertainment to be confirmed, plus a procession from 12pm followed by a live dragon slaying at 12.15pm, Free tasters of Dragon Sausages and St Georges Buns Free parking in Newport too! A fun day for the family. Please note Newport High Street is closed from 11.45am -1pm!!
