The Newport St George's day organised by our Newport Town Council are to hold our town's 12th St George’s day celebrations in Newport High Street on Saturday 18th April 2026
The day is a free event which includes Starting at 10am until 41m

Balloon modeller
Pavement chalk art
Live DJ
Punch and Judy shows: 10:30am & 11:30am
Morris dancers: 11:00am & approximately 12:30pm
Newport Community Library
Face painting
Make-your-own flags activity
From 12pm. Procession and dragon slaying. (Road closed 11.45am to 1pm.)
Free event. Come on down!
Entertainmen A procession from 12pm followed by a live dragon slaying at 12.15pm, Free tasters of St Georges Buns Free parking in Newport too! A fun day for the family. Please note Newport High Street is closed from 11.45am -1pm!
