Gnosall & Newport Lions Club will be holding their 2026 Prostate Cancer Awareness Event at the Cosy Hall in Newport TF10 7LD. Men over 40 years old are invited to book a PSA test on mypsatests.org.uk
Book a slot between 6.00pm to 9.00pm on Friday 10th April or Friday 1st May 2026.
The PSA test is a blood test to help detect prostate cancer. PSA is a protein made only by the prostate gland. Some of it leaks into your blood, but how much depends on your age and the health of your prostate.
The tests will cost £15 per person on the evening as each test costs £15 to process. On the night a proforma is completed by each man, then a blood sample is taken by a professional phlebotomist.
