Fay had a number of family connections with the former Cottage Hospital, her father was a Chiropodist in the 1950/60’s and she herself had catered for a number of events there over the years.
Jason Rocke handed over a cheque for £1163 to Margaret Woodcock (Chair of the Cottage Care League of Friends) in memory of Fay Knight nee Rocke, his late mother.
Margaret said “The donation was very generous, much needed and appreciated. The X-Ray appeal had suffered due to the League of Friends shop being closed during the Covid Lockdown. Plus the cost of the X-Ray equipment had increased considerably.
Jason said “My mum was a great supporter of the former Cottage Hospital (Now called The Newport Cottage Care Centre). She would be really pleased that so many people had donated in her memory.
