Last weekend the 'Making a Difference' market stall, located in the Newport Indoor Market celebrated 21 years of service in Newport. They were able to welcome back past volunteers and relive the early days on the market. They were also happy to see Reverend Merry and members of Churches Together in Newport who prayed blessing over the market and the town.
The stall was set up by Cheryl and Jenny to provide low cost items for families in the town. It then moved on to support fairtrade, and was the first provider of fairtrade products in the town.
Over the years, we have been grateful for Jane and Pauline's management of the stall and their entrepreneurial spirit.
Remaining committed to ethical and fair trade, still stocking products that provide the producers with a fair wage, and supporting organisations that work to enable others to stand tall both in the UK and overseas.
They are thankful to Newport Christian Fellowship for their financial sponsorship, and to Churches Together in Newport for the volunteers who run the stall on a weekly
