GOLFERS at Shifnal Golf Club will now be travelling around the course in style thanks to sponsorship from two local opticians.
As part of their wider sponsorship of the Club, Specsavers in Telford and Newport now also sponsor the golf buggies, helping all club members to get around the course easily.
‘We’ve supported Shifnal Golf Club for three years now and when we were asked about sponsoring the golf buggies, we were only too happy to help,’ says Jack Hearne, dispensing optician at Specsavers Telford. ‘Not only does the Club play an important role in the local community, good eyesight is key to a good golf swing, which is why our partnership is such a great fit.
‘We think the golf buggies look really smart with the logo on them and it’s great to see them out and about on the fairway. It’s important to the teams at both stores that we get involved with and support local businesses and organisations and we hope everyone who plays at the Club enjoys using the buggies.’
