Grants Available from Local Charities

Author | 16 October 2015

The Roddam Charity exists to provide grants to people in the TF10 postcode area who have welfare and other needs.

Those needs may relate to their health or medical condition, mobility or they may consider themselves to be disadvantaged in some way. This includes items, services or facilities which are calculated to alleviate suffering or assist with recovery, where help is not readily available from other sources. The Charity cannot offer support with taxes or payments due to any public bodies.

The Charity meets quarterly in September, November, March and June so if you feel you may qualify and need equipment to support your daily lifestyle (or respite care of some kind).

The Charity also recently gave grants to larger charities which help local people including the Severn Hospice and McMillan Cancer Care as well as an individual for respite care and British Red Cross to provide wheelchairs for use in this area.

The Annabelle Lady Boughey Charity uses its funds to help individuals and local groups in TF10 postcode area.

Grants have been given by the charity to support the Newport Carnival, Newport Youth Café, Victim Support Scheme, Gap Year students and Local Schools. However grants cannot be made for the relief of rates, taxes or other public funds. If you feel you may qualify please feel free to contact us using the details below.

Contact the Secretary, Merewood, Springfields, Newport TF10 7EZ. (Tel: 01952 814628 or by e-mail bougheyroddamha@btinternet.com for further information.
