Web design and digital marketing agency Ascendancy are at the forefront of the digital revolution.
And the Shropshire company was this month recognised for its excellence after being crowned Best Small Business 2017 at the annual Shropshire Business Awards.
The small but committed workforce at Ascendancy Internet Marketing, based in Shifnal, has been passing on its expertise to benefit companies large and small by developing effective websites, running highly successful digital campaigns and helping clients to get the best possible results from their existing sites.
And the team were all at the Telford International Centre on June 23rd to accept the award from sponsors Nick Jones Wealth Planning.
Helen Culshaw, managing director, said she was overwhelmed when Ascendancy was announced as the winner - but that it was testament to her team’s hard work and dedication.
“Digital marketing is now common and there are more and more firms competing for their slice of what has become a very tough market,” she said.
“So much has changed in the last 20 years and more and more businesses have found it necessary to turn their attentions to online platforms - now a vital part of any firm’s strategy.
“Ascendancy continuously makes moves to compete, develop and keep ahead of the field. We can never stand still as the development of technology and the digital world never stands still.”
Helen and digital marketing executive James Keeney-Wilson are now in the top 22 per cent of certified Google Adwords specialists in the UK.

The Shropshire Business Awards are in their 17th year and the night is considered one of the best on Shropshire’s business calendar.
Ascendancy was crowned the winner of the Best Small Business category, awarded to a company with a maximum of 15 staff that demonstrates a high level of success in its sector.
