Two companies involved in a large development programme are inviting construction firms and suppliers from the Telford and Wrekin area to meet with them.
Seddons construction and Sanctuary Housing are involved in a £70 million housing development programme throughout the Midlands and are looking to provide local companies with the opportunity to work with them during the project.
Local construction firms and suppliers are being invited along to a meeting at The Whitehouse Hotel in Wellington on Thursday 8 August to find out more about getting involved with this multi-million pound development as a ‘supply chain partner’.
Telford & Wrekin Council is supporting this event which will further cement the priority to be a ‘Business Winning, Business Supporting’ council through Invest in Telford.
Invest In Telford was launched in June and providing business support for existing local business as well as new businesses thinking of setting up in Telford.
Councillor Bill McClements, cabinet member for Finance and Enterprise, said: “This is exactly the type of event we want to support in Telford and Wrekin.
“We want to make sure there are opportunities for existing local businesses to work on local projects, and strengthen their economic position as well as that of the borough.
“I would encourage all those local businesses with a construction or supply background to register for the meeting and find out more about the potential to work on this major programme.”
