Church Eaton Primary School recently became a member of ‘S.U.A.T’ -the Staffordshire University Academies Trust. Following on from the official Grand Opening Ceremony performed by Keith Hollins, the C.E.O of the Trust, Mr. Hollins has provided the following quote:
“Staffordshire University Academies Trust (SUAT) is proud to have recently welcomed Church Eaton Primary School into its growing family of schools. With over twenty schools in SUAT, spread throughout Staffordshire, our size gives us the capacity to support our schools in terms of both our educational aims and in our capacity to achieve real economies of scale across our growing family of schools.
This is important because we are big supporters of small rural schools, believing that they form the backbone of the village life that is so important to the social fabric of our rural county.
Our mission is to enable our children, young people and their families to report that Staffordshire is a great place to live, play, learn and achieve in; a place where they feel safe and can lead healthy lives and a place that offers them a successful future. Our vision is to achieve better outcomes for all of our children and young people by providing an outstanding set of inclusive and aspirational learning experiences.
Whilst the Trust Board of SUAT is legally responsible for each school, we believe that by nurturing a culture of individual identity, each school will reflect its own diversity and uniqueness. We recognise the vital importance of autonomy. Every school has its own context and challenges. This is why we encourage our member schools to lead and manage in a way that preserves their individual identity and responds to the specific needs of their children and their community.
In Church Eaton, we have been impressed by the passion that the whole community has for its school. I am confident that together SUAT and the whole community at Church Eaton will support the school on its journey to become an outstanding school.”
These are exciting times for Church Eaton Primary School, which has recently opened the newly refurbished kitchen and also, the Early Years facility has now had a canopy installed externally- to provide the younger pupils with valuable shelter from the weather at playtime.
Church Eaton Primary School is classed as ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED. Nursery places are available at this nurturing, rural school where pupils thrive in a caring environment with strong family values. The school offers the option of wrap-around care for Nursery pupils. There is also a before and after school club on-site, which is invaluable for working parents.
