It was a case of window shopping for two businesses with links to the county, brought together to decide on the business with best Christmas window display in the market town of Newport.
The annual Newport Chamber Christmas competition for best dressed window has seen the majority of Newport’s independent businesses decorate their frontages with a festive theme. Karen Woodcock from All About Newport was on hand to assist the two impartial judges – Sally Themans Place marketing specialist and high performance coach from Good-2-Great and former Newport resident Paul Naylor, owner of design and layout company Media & You.
With a welcome from Karen Woodcock Chair for Newport Chamber of Commerce – Sally and Paul inspected the colourful festive entrants, before deliberating over a coffee at Gunero’s on the High Street.
There were five five categories. The best window belonging to a business with a membership of the town’s Chamber of Commerce was judged to be Henshalls on the High Street with Duignan Phelps being highly commended for their creative festive fireplace.
