Burton Borough School in Newport has congratulated students on their 'outstanding' GCSE results.
Headlines included English language achievement above national averages compared with last year, plus improved pass rates in maths, physics, science, and physical education.
Principal Caroline Bedford said: “I am incredibly proud to share the outstanding results achieved by our students this year.
“They reflect not only their hard work and determination, but also the strength of our school community and the values that define us: ambitious, proud, and caring.
“Our students have shown what it means to be truly ambitious by setting high goals, persevering through challenges, and striving for excellence in every subject.
"Their achievements are a testament to their commitment and the belief that with effort and support, anything is possible.
“We are proud of each and every student. Not just for their grades, but for the character, resilience, and integrity they have shown throughout their journey. These results are more than numbers; they represent growth, confidence, and the readiness to take on new opportunities.”
