An award-winning Newport business is celebrating national recognition after being named Skin Clinic of the Year (UK) at one of the industry’s most prestigious ceremonies as the team marks 26 years in business.
Elite Skin Studio, based in Newport, has taken the top honour at the Professional Beauty Awards 2026, firmly placing the Shropshire clinic on the national map for excellence in skincare.
The UK’s leading beauty businesses were celebrated at the Professional Beauty Awards 2026, recognising innovation and skill across salons, spas, clinics and individuals.
The winners of the Professional Beauty Awards 2026 were announced at a glamorous black-tie ceremony at Royal Lancaster London, this month where the country’s most outstanding beauty professionals were celebrated. From boutique salons to large spas, and mobile therapists to outstanding teams, the event highlighted skill and dedication across the industry.
The Professional Beauty Awards 2026 celebrated the full spectrum of the UK beauty industry, from small independent salons to large-scale spa destinations.
Studio Director Fliss Williams, who runs the studio with her mother, Anne Ashton - who founded the specialist skin business working from home in 2000 - said the team were “absolutely thrilled” to receive the award.
The duo invested £70,000 in an expansion and renovation following the forced closure during the pandemic and doubled the size of their premises which now attracts clients from all over Shropshire, Cheshire, Staffordshire and Wales to enjoy specialist treatments in their six treatment rooms, with industry-leading equipment, offering an array of specialist skin and laser treatments and a range of cosmeceutical homecare products.
Fliss said: “This recognition means so much to us as a team. We are absolutely thrilled to be named Skin Clinic of the Year and to represent Newport and Shropshire on a national stage.
“We are passionate about delivering results-driven treatments and exceptional client care, and this award reflects the dedication and hard work of our whole team.”
Anne added: “I can’t believe it is 26 years since I first founded Elite Skin Studio in my garden studio. I am so proud to have Fliss leading the business for the next chapter and our whole team who are so talented and dedicated to the beauty industry and really do change the lives of our clients for the better.”
