Studio Nine, Newport is celebrating a double milestone this summer, marking its first anniversary on 12 August while also being named a finalist in the Hair & Beauty Awards.
Studio Nine, owned by local hairdresser Louise McEwan, opened its doors just a year ago after Louise took the leap to fulfil a lifelong ambition of owning her own salon following 30 years in the hairdressing industry.
Created as a boutique salon, Studio Nine offers a calm, one-to-one experience where clients can relax and enjoy personalised appointments in a peaceful setting.
“Opening my own salon has been one of the biggest and most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made. It was a huge step, but I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved in such a short space of time.
“My vision was to create somewhere that felt different from a traditional busy salon – a space where clients could unwind, feel genuinely looked after and leave feeling like the best version of themselves.”
Over the past 12 months, Studio Nine has built a loyal client base, with much of its growth coming through recommendations and returning clients. The salon is proud to be a fully L’Oréal Professionnel salon, offering bespoke colour, cutting and styling services with a strong focus on healthy, beautiful hair.
Being named a finalist in the Hair & Beauty Awards has made the anniversary even more special.
“To receive industry recognition in our very first year is something I never imagined. It’s a reflection of the support I’ve received from my amazing clients, and I’m incredibly grateful to every person who has trusted me with their hair and supported my business.”
Looking ahead, i hope to continue growing the salon while staying true to the values it was built on: quality, personal service and creating a welcoming space where every client feels comfortable and cared for.
“I’d like to thank every single client who has supported Studio Nine over the past year. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without you, and I’m so excited to see what the future holds."
