Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is hosting a major seminar to help businesses understand and confidently adopt artificial intelligence.
The event is being held at The Quad in Telford town centre’s Station Quarter from 10am to 2pm on October 21, and will bring together industry experts, technology specialists and academic leaders for a programme of talks and interactive sessions.
Delegates will explore what AI really is - and what it isn’t - through a series of myth busting discussions, hands on workshops and real world examples of successful adoption.
With networking opportunities, lunch and refreshments throughout the day, the Chamber says it will offer a relaxed and enjoyable environment where attendees can experiment, ask questions and gain practical tools.
The speaker line up includes Alex Whittles of Telford-based Purple Frog Systems, who will present ‘AI Without the Hype’, a jargon free explanation of what artificial intelligence actually is, debunking common misconceptions.
Archie Homer from Harper Adams University will explore the role of AI in education, research and industry collaboration, and his colleague Parmjit Chima will look at sourcing the most suitable AI platform to increase business productivity.
Lewis Prince, also from Purple Frog Systems, will lead an interactive workshop designed to help organisations identify AI opportunities and build confidence using practical tools.
And Karen Turner of Imagine Training will share 10 immediate and actionable ways Microsoft Copilot can save time at work and streamline everyday tasks.
The Chamber says the event is suitable for all levels of experience, from organisations already integrating AI into their operations to those just beginning to explore its potential.
