Bespoke connects local motor dealership in Shrewsbury

Author | 29 August 2026

A Telford IT consultancy has delivered a comprehensive package of communications services to support a local motor dealership’s latest phase of growth.

Bespoke Computing, based at Stafford Park, has worked closely with Sailhouse Cars to ensure the smooth opening of its new site at Stadium Point in Shrewsbury.

It is the latest in a series of projects Bespoke Computing has completed for managing director Chris Carr and his team over a number of years.

The Stadium Point site, next to Shrewsbury Town FC’s Croud Meadow stadium, is among the first 10 UK locations for Aion, a new electric vehicles brand entering the UK market from China.

The expansion has also involved moving elements of the behind the scenes operations for Sailhouse’s existing dealership at Old Potts Way.

Working alongside the contractor responsible for the fitout, Bespoke Computing designed and built the full network infrastructure for the new site. It provides fast, reliable connectivity across the dealership, enabling staff, customers and vehicles to connect wirelessly throughout the premises.

The new network has been securely linked with the existing Old Potts Way site, allowing the Sailhouse team to operate fluidly from either location.

Bespoke Computing has worked closely with the IT teams of Sailhouse’s brands to ensure seamless integration with their internal systems. Vehicles at the site connect back to their manufacturers for software updates via these secure links.

The Telford company has also helped to extend Sailhouse’s existing telephone system so customer service can be delivered consistently from any location.

Bespoke Computing managing director Chris Pallett said: “We worked closely with the fitout contractor to design and build the network from the ground up, bringing in a dedicated 1000 Mbps circuit and ensuring wireless coverage across the entire site.

“We’ve securely linked the new dealership with Old Potts Way so the team can operate fluidly from either location, and we’ve been working directly with the IT teams to integrate with their systems.

“Vehicles also connect back to the brands for software updates over these links. We’re extending the existing telephone system too, so Sailhouse can look after customers seamlessly from any site.”

Bespoke Computing has supported the Sailhouse Cars team since 2018, when Chris Carr opened a site in Featherbed Lane, Shrewsbury.

The company provides fully managed IT support, communications systems, mobile phones and daytoday technical assistance, as well as liaising directly with the company’s IT teams to meet brand requirements.

The longstanding relationship has even included sponsoring the junior football team Chris once managed.

Chris Carr, managing director of Sailhouse Cars, said: “Bespoke Computing have been with us on our exciting Sailhouse Cars journey since the very start, ‘riding the wave with us’ and supporting all our IT needs for over eight years.

“Chris Pallett and the team are now moving with us into our next exciting chapter, having recently delivered our full IT solution for our new Aion Shrewsbury dealership.”
