Over 400 competitors took part in the West Midlands Cyclocross League (WMCCL) hosted by Newport Shropshire Cycling Club at the prestigious Lilleshall National Sports Centre on Sunday 12th November.
The Series of events are held across the West Midlands throughout September to December and is an off road bike racing event for all ages and abilities.
This is the first time the event has been held at Lilleshall and the event has a great potential for the future.
The sloping course provided a fun and challenging course for the bike racers who were took part in races from Under 6 categories through to Veterans in their 60s. The weather turned the course into a proper mudfest and riders bike handling skills were tested to the limits.
The feedback from the competitors was excellent with riders travelling from all over the West Midlands and beyond.
