A stately home on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border has raised nearly £8,000 for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Weston Park raised £7,885 for the air ambulance charity throughout 2025 after nominating it as its charity of the year.
The stately home – which for the last two years has been home to the iconic Bike4Life charity fundraiser – said the final total reflected a mix of fundraising activity and gifts.
Across the year, £1,390.22 was raised through fundraising, including optional donations added to ticket sales from events including the Spring Fling!, Summer Fiesta and bonfire & fireworks, along with contributions made at charity stands across the estate.
A further £6,495 came from gifts in kind, including donations made through Weston’s on-site donation station, raffle prizes for fundraising events and the use of the estate’s grounds to film a case study.
The funds raised are enough to finance two air ambulance missions and three critical care missions, directly supporting emergency care for communities across the region.
Colin Sweeney, CEO of Weston Park, said: “We are delighted to have played a small part in supporting the work of Midlands Air Ambulance and want to thank our visitors for their generosity.”
Sophia Baker, corporate partnership lead at Midlands Air Ambulance charity, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Weston Park for its generous and continued support.
“The commitment helps ensure our crews can be there for people across the Midlands when they need us most. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited Weston Park and contributed to this support - your kindness makes a real and lasting difference to the lifesaving work we carry out every day.”
Weston Park – itself an independent charity – is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, marking four decades since the estate was gifted to the nation by the Earl of Bradford.
The Weston Park Foundation continues to own and care for the estate.
The Weston team has chosen Compton Care near Wolverhampton as its charity of the year for 2026.
