The Newport Nocturne attracts some of the biggest names in cycling. This year's event will take place on Saturday 30th August and the organisers, Nick Jeggo and his Father Mick, hope to include the elite British women cyclists Laura Trott, Joanna Roswell, Dani King and Lizzie Armistead. This year the Shrewsbury & Newport Canals Trust has again teamed up with the Norbury village community and the Junction Inn to jointly organise the annual May Bank Holiday Canal Festival. Last years Festival was the most successful yet, with over 10,000 people attending.
The Festival will be open from 10am each day.
